Iowa’s men’s basketball team will play defending Big Ten champion Purdue and rival Illinois twice next season, according to the Big Ten opponents’ breakdown released Tuesday.
The Hawkeyes only played those teams once this season, winning at home against Illinois, 81-79, on February 4, then losing at Purdue five nights later, 87-73.
Iowa also will play home-and-home games with Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Penn State, and Wisconsin.
The Hawkeyes’ home single plays are with Nebraska, Ohio State, and Rutgers. Road single plays are Indiana, Michigan State, and Northwestern.
The Big Ten schedule, with times and television coverage, will be released later this summer.
