More National TV Exposure For The Leathernecks

Western Illinois’ men’s basketball team will get another nationally-televised game, this time at home.

The Leathernecks’ game against UT-Martin on February 10 has been selected as one of the Ohio Valley Conference’s wild-card games on ESPNU. Game time is 11 a.m.

“This is a great opportunity for our men’s basketball team as well as our athletic department and University to be showcased on a national broadcast,” said Western Illinois athletics director Paul Bubb in a statement. “To have this type of media coverage for our programs is another example that membership in the Ohio Valley Conference is a good place for our programs and the University.”

It’s the fourth nationally-televised game for the Leathernecks this season. Their nonconference games at Illinois and Wisconsin were shown on the Big Ten Network, and the January 25 game at Southern Indiana was shown on ESPNU.

Western Illinois’ women’s game against UT-Martin will start at 2 p.m. and be broadcast on ESPN-Plus.
