Iowa Women’s Notebook: It’s No. 25 For Clark, No. 2 For Hawkeyes

By JOHN BOHNENKAMP

Iowa’s Caitlin Clark is, again, the Big Ten women’s basketball player of the week.

Clark received the honor on Monday, the 25th of her career, the seventh of this season, and her fourth consecutive.

Clark had a triple-double — 26 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds — in last Wednesday’s win at Purdue. She followed that with a 30-point, 11-assist game in Saturday’s victory over No. 14 Indiana at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

HAWKEYES UP TO NO. 2: Iowa moved up to No. 2 in the Associated Press poll, released Monday morning.

Iowa (17-1 overall, 6-0 Big Ten) has won 14 consecutive games. The Hawkeyes have been in the top five in the AP poll all season, and have been ranked in the top five in 12 consecutive weeks dating back to last season, the longest current streak.
